January Market Update:
January 2025
I don’t know about you, but I feel like I have been shot out of a cannon since the start of the year! It seems like everyone and everything is ready for action this year. My phone has definitely been ringing with buyers ready to get off the fence and sellers ready to list their home in our busy spring season. Does that mean we are heading for another frenzy? I don’t think so, but I do think we will see a nice pop in the market and see a return to normalcy. Rates are still a challenge for some buyers, but we are seeing sellers open to offering rate buy downs as an incentive. We normally see our busiest months in the spring, and I am encouraged by the activity I have personally seen.
We are also trying to determine if the tragic wild fires in California may have an impact on the demand here in Phoenix. That being said, most markets are still in a balanced or buyer’s market, so there are still great opportunities out there for buyers who are open to finding a property that may need a little TLC or updating.
